Rooney scores twice and Fabianski's two errors cost Arsenal: It's Champions League Report!

AC Milan 2-3 Man Utd

Match Report

Manchester United secured a historic win at the San Siro on Tuesday with goals from Wayne Rooney and Paul Scholes. Milan opened the scoring just three minutes into the game with a Ronaldinho goal set up by the one and only David Beckham, who was later subbed off after an ineffective display. 33 minutes later the legendary Paul Scholes nabbed an equaliser for Man United before Wayne Rooney scored his 24th and 25th of the season in a brace of second half headers. Clarence Seedorf gave Milan hope with a skillful finish five minutes from time, but despite Michael Carrick's sending off in injury time for a second yellow, Man United held on and came out on top once again.

FC Porto 2-1 Arsenal

Match Report

Two errors from Arsenal goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski gave Porto a 2-1 win that left manager Arsene Wenger furious with the controversial passback freekick taken extremely quickly by Radamel Falcao, giving Arsenal no time to get in any sort of defensive position, and rolling straight past Fabianski to win it for Porto. It was Porto who opened the scoring, with a fumble from Fabianski causing the Polishman to find his own net 11 minutes into the game. Arsenal replied well though, and just 7 minutes later Arsenal veteran Sol Campbell headed in a stunning equaliser to restore parity for The Gunners. Porto's cruel winner came shortly after the break.

Arsene Wenger in an post-match interview said:

"It is better than a penalty. It was unbelievable that he allowed Porto to play straight away and push the ball into the net. I have never seen that and I have been in the game a long time."

Bayern Munich 2-1 Fiorentina

Match Report

Fiorentina were left frustrated on Wednesday night after an 89th minute header from Miroslav Klose was allowed when Klose was clearly offside, giving the German side a cruel win.
Munich opened the scoring right on the stroke of half-time from a Arjen Robben penalty after Franck Ribery was fouled. After the break Fiorentina replied well and levelled things when Per Kroldrup slotted home for the Italians, but later in the game Massimo Gobbi was sent off for a alleged elbow on Robben before Klose's winner at the death.

Lyon 1-0 Real Madrid

Match Report

An absolutely stunning finish from Jean Makoun just after the break gave Lyon a very narrow win over Real, with both sides testing eachother throughout the whole match. Lyon nearly made it two after a Cesar Delgado volley hit off the post, and later in the game Real Madrid had many chances to level but couldn't finish, and the French held on for a very narrow victory indeed.

Here are tonight's Europa League scores.
